Being a pupil or a student one can’t agree more that obtaining a quality education is crucial for making your life better. Though very few will argue that a quality education is a significant factor in sustainable development, more than 700 million of adults still lack basic literate skills. Goal 4 is aimed to ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning in every country.
By now major progress has been made towards simplifying access to education at all levels and increasing enrollment rates in schools for women and girls in particular. But although enrollment in primary education in developing countries has reached 91%, many children are still not enrolled.
Why is that so important to participate in the work of committee №4? First of all, highlighting the value of quality education will make governments work out new educational programs according to the Sustainable Development Goals. Besides, encouraging the private sector to invest in the development of educational system will scale down the number of children deprived of education. Moreover, Education is the key that will allow many other Sustainable Development Goals to be achieved.
