Central and Latin America

Central and Latin America region faces complex challenges related to reducing poverty, ensuring quality education, providing access to affordable and clean energy, and creating decent jobs for sustainable economic growth. Social and economic inequality, a lack of educational opportunities, and limited access to energy resources hinder the region's development. Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) requires an integrated approach focused on reducing poverty, improving quality of life, and fostering human potential, which will contribute to sustainable and inclusive development.

    Dear participants!

Welcome to the X Youth Forum on Sustainable Development in the Central and Latin America Committee!

This is my third year participating in the SDG Forum, and last year I had the unforgettable experience of being the moderator of the English Committee at the Tashkent venue! I am very glad that this year our event will also work on two platforms!

Within the framework of our Jubilee Forum, we decided to change the format of the committees a little bit, but I think this only made it more interesting! Now you will be able to explore the region from a SDG perspective and learn about its peculiarities.

Central and Latin America is a historically and culturally rich region with its own specialties and possible problem areas. I started studying Central and Latin America back in that year, and my first CELAC Youth Economic Summit will be held in 2025! That is why I am very excited to be on this SDG committee and look forward to the Forum!

I hope that the work will be fruitful, I can't wait to meet new people, listen to their ideas and get a charge of positive emotions!
